Lo Waight and The Rattlesnakes is a four-piece band based out of Victoria BC. Their music combines elements of memorable melodies, dynamic breakdowns and the right amount of hard hitting beats to create a unique blend of blues/folk-rock. The band was formed around Lo Waight's original folk songs. With collaboration from each respective member adding their own unique style, they deliver music that caters to folks of all ages and multiple musical genres. The 'snakes continue to gain momentum on the island having played well known venues in Victoria, Rifflandia Music Festival in 2017 and now the upcoming Rock the Shores Festival July 13-15, 2018. Band members include; Dave Lawson on keys and sax, Dan Erikson on bass and vocals, Lucas Johnson on drums and Lo Waight on lead vocals and guitar.
Lo Waight is a Singer/Songwriter from Victoria BC. She has been writing and performing since she was 12 years old. Having performed with various R&B/Funk/Soul groups over the years she has learned to incorporate many musical styles into the songs she writes. With the addition of the talented Rattlesnakes, Lo's original music has been
transformed to capture the sounds true to her roots; folk music with elements of funk, blues and rock.

Dave Lawson
Dave is a Victoria based multi-instrumentalist with a degree in jazz performance and a background in R&B, ska, funk and rock. Though his main instrument is saxophone, you can occasionally catch him flexing his keyboard chops with Lo Waight and the Rattlesnakes.

Dan Erikson
Dan is a musician from Victoria, BC, Originally a drummer, Dan has transitioned through many instruments and styles throughout his life. He is heavily influenced by his musical family and by the wide variety of music he digests. Working with Lo Waight and the Rattlesnakes has been an incredible learning experience for Dan, having never been a bass player before in a group. Now referred to as “Big-Bottom Danny,” he has grown into his role, helping to provide a strong back end.

Lucas Johnson
Lucas is a drummer based in Victoria, BC. He initially learned to play from his father 15 years ago and progressed his playing through school music programs. He was able to travel and perform throughout North America and was even selected to perform in a provincial jazz program for music educators. Lucas has a diverse musical background ranging from jazz and R&B to rock and heavy metal. Having been close friends with bassist Dan for over 10 years, he was thrilled to be asked to step up and become a Rattlesnake.
